Letter from the President W

hat a year we have had!! You have stepped over boxes, did business in a small drive-thru and came in the kitchen (our temporary lobby) for your transactions. I would like to take the time to thank our staff, members, volunteers and directors for all the hard work this year. Our "Open House" went very well and those who attended were very pleased with the results. We honored individuals who had served before and gave thanks to the sacrifices they had made for this credit union. Attending the open house were many of our former board members who told the stories of how far this credit union had come. I enjoyed these stories and encourage all to remember where we were and where we are now. The credit union is financially strong and a big part of our community. Give yourself a pat on the back for the best credit union in Wayne County.

I want to take this time to say I hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday season!

Open House Celebration

People People

The credit union celebrated the remodeled building by providing a ribbon cutting and open house on December 3, 2004. Gene R. Jones, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, spoke after the ribbon cutting and gave some of the history of the credit union. Ivalene Miles, June Wingate and Brenda Davidson also spoke. There were many who attended including, but not limited to three of the past Presidents, (Waldeen Carter, June Wingate, and Ivalene Miles) shown in the picture above with the current President, Brenda Davidson. Ms. Evelyn Roland was also one of the past Presidents, but was not present for pictures. There were also past board members who attended. Food, give aways and good fellowship was the theme for the day. A new plaque with the names of the board of directors, supervisory committee and staff was displayed. The building started in February and is now 99% complete. Tours will still be given when possible.
