50th Anniversary Week Was A Success

Last year we began planning for our 50th Anniversary Celebration. It soon became apparent that just one day would not be enough to properly acknowledge this accomplishment or to thank our members for their dedication.

May 9-13th found the members of AFCU being treated to refreshments, prizes and education opportunities each day. The week came to a fantastic conclusion on Friday, May 13th. There were many distinguished guests in attendance. Senator Tommie Williams, and Representative Roger Lane spoke on the power of Credit Unions, State Representative Hinson Mosley reminisced on his long association as a member and past board member at Altamaha Federal Credit Union. Mr. Foreman Miles, a past chairman of the board, presented a power point presentation covering the past 50 years of ALtamaha Federal Credit Union.

Chairman of the Board, Michael Moore, Credit Union President Brenda Davidson, and members of the board and supervisory committee were on hand to greet our guests and members. Altamaha Federal Credit Union is strong and growing and looking forward to the next 50 years.
