Hey Kids,
Rocky had a birthday! Rocky was born April 4, 1997, and was
one in a litter of four. He stayed with his mother in a hollow
tree called a “den” until November 30, 1997, when
he struck out on his own. That’s growing up in a hurry,
isn’t it?
Rocky
likes fruits, nuts, corn, insects, grain, eggs and crayfish.
He is clean and likes his food washed before he eats it. Have
you wondered why Rocky appears at the Easter Egg Hunt each
year in Jesup? I’ll bet some of those eggs are missing
from the count!
One thing
we know for certain is Rocky loves the Altamaha Federal Credit
Union Rocky Raccoon Club members. Join us in wishing Rocky
a big .....
Happy
Birthday!

Action News
The credit
union staff recently participated in the Relay for Life event.
The ladies made Easter Bonnets to wear for a length of time
until they collected certain dollar amounts. These Bonnets
were fantastic, and if you missed them, you missed a treat.
Hats off!! to all those who wore the Bonnets.
We also
filled a basket with many helpful items which we raffled off
and used those proceeds for the Relay. Staff members decorated
a booth in a Greek theme and sold a pastry, “Baklava”
with fruit, water and coffee. Some planned to spend the night,
but as most of you know there was a storm which drove them
out.
Altogether
the staff collected a total of $2,377.86 to donate to research
for prevention of cancer. A special thank you to Ms. Tammy
Peebles for painting the backdrop for our booth. We appreciate
Poppell’s Produce and Ross Lighting for helping us out
with donations of fruit and props used in the booth. And,
a very special “thank you” to our mem- members.
bers. We could not have done it without you!!!!

It has
proven to be a busy year so far. I know many of you are on
vacation or going soon, since it will be a very short summer
for school kids! I hope that you will have an enjoyable time
and we invite you to come by to see us before you leave. We
have Travelers Checks available, or maybe you haven’t
applied for your new Visa Debit card to take with you. If
you need a loan, let us help you with that, also. And, above
all, be safe and don’t get sunburned!
So, it’s
after business hours and you’ve missed bringing that
deposit or loan payment to the credit union office. No problem!
Just stop by anytime, day or night, at our convenient night
drop box. Your deposit or loan payment will be held in a secure
location and opened immediately the next business day by our
member service representatives.
If you
have a deposit ticket or loan coupon, please include it with
your check or cash. If not, be sure to write on a piece of
paper where you want your deposit to be applied and place
it in an envelope.
“SMILES
are contagious. Give one and you get one in return. Smiles
read the same on any face in any language.”
